I had been, until recently, a pretty solid middle-of-the-road fan of Google. I was an avid Google Maps reviewer back when they rewarded contributions with extra storage, socks, and pins for reaching certain Local Guide levels. I was one of those people adding businesses, structures, correcting information to be accurate, uploading 360° photos and videos—if it could be reviewed, I did it. I always tried to be articulate and fair, never breaking the platform’s rules.
Then, out of the blue, things got weird. Suddenly, none of my reviews were going live. After checking for about a year and confirming with a spare account, I realized they had been ghosting negative reviews long before this. Not only that, I wasn’t seeing all reviews for businesses anymore. I won’t explain everything, but trust me—they basically sent me to the Upside Down without any notification of wrongdoing.
I reached out to customer support... Hahahahahahahaha. Yeah, that went nowhere.
So I decided: if Google wasn’t accepting my new reviews, they couldn’t have my old contributions either. I manually deleted thousands of reviews—because your contributions are a product, and they sure won’t give you bulk tools to delete your product.
Other things happened too, like paid apps vanishing from my Play account without notice or refund. Google started as a solid institution and still offers some fair, free products. But I’ve disabled all the junk on my Pixel phone and quietly laugh to myself as I block and report Gemini messages in my text app as spam.
And the over all point of such a post... Well to call Google a cunt and have it forever exist and they can't do shit... You may think well they could deindex you well you're right but they will never be the only search engine because they are CUNTS.
